Go farther and farther away
This is my testimony to a historical change in my hometown. I was born in a small town in the interior of China. My ancestors lived here as farmers for generations. However, with the development of urbanization in China, the fields in my hometown gradually disappeared and were replaced by high-rise buildings, and my family and I were forced to bid farewell to the land where our ancestors lived and move to the city. Grandfather’s solemn eyes, as if to say goodbye to the land. The disappearance of the fields not only takes away the land we rely on for survival, but also fades the hometown in our vision a little.
